
Housed on the premises of the former Orsay railway station, the Museum opened its doors in 1986. Its collections cover the period from 1848 to 1914 and embrace several forms: painting, sculpture, architecture, objets d’art, furniture, cinema, photography, music, opera scenery, etc. The Museum contains works by such famous artists as Rodin, Manet, Renoir, Cézanne and Van Gogh.
