Latin Quarter

The Latin quarter takes its name from the language used here until the French Revolution, especially in the universities and schools. There are many traces of the Roman occupation: the Thermes (baths) de Cluny, the Arènes de Lutèce, the Rue du Petit-Pont and the Rue Saint-Jacques.
